Announcement policy

— The Stillwater NewsPress publishes news of engagements, weddings, anniversaries, births and reunions in the lifestyle section. Forms are at the Stillwater NewsPress and at www.stwnewspress.com.
Wedding, engagement, anniversary and reunion announcements are $25. Announcements for 50th and 75th anniversaries will be published free of charge.
Birth announcements without a photo will be published free. Birth announcements will be published with photos for $7 in “Baby Talk,” a special section in the lifestyle section.
Payment for all announcements must be received before they will be published.
All announcements will be placed on the Stillwater NewsPress Web site for free.
Submissions should be typed. Illegible submissions cannot be published. A telephone number and the name of a contact person must be included with each announcement.
Preferred publication time for engagement announcements is within six weeks before the wedding date.
When an anniversary is to be celebrated with an event open to the public, announcements are published in advance. Otherwise, announcements are published as close as possible to the anniversary date.
For publication the following Sunday, information must be submitted by Wednesday noon.
The NewsPress will publish one high quality photo of a couple or an individual. Digital photos must be high-resolution. Only one photo will be published with each announcement.
