SHS splits pair of games at Putnam City

Stillwater High’s softball team went 1-1 at the Putnam City North Festival on Friday.

In the Lady Pioneers’ first game, they earned a 2-0 win against Putnam City. Jerika Rosenquist, Lindsey Jones and April Argo each recorded a hit for SHS (5-8). Freshman pitcher Chandler Nett earned the win in the circle.

In the second contest, the Lady Pioneers held a one-run lead against Yukon before enduring a rain delay in the top of third inning. After the break, Yukon posted seven runs in a single inning and cruised to a 9-2 victory.

Rosenquist went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, and Jessie Nichols added a hit.
