Cross country meeting

There will be a Stillwater High cross country parent meeting Monday at 6 p.m. in the SHS Student Center for all parents/runners expecting to run this fall.

Free physicals for girls are Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the high school. Boys physicals are scheduled for May 20 at 6 p.m. at SHS. For more information, contact Dan Zeroski at 405-533-6338 or at dzeroski@stillwater.k12.ok.us.

Also, the Stillwater Running Club will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Hideaway Pizza. The public is welcome to attend and can contact Zeroski for more information.



Softball meeting

Stillwater High softball will have a player/parent information meeting Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Little Couch Park regarding the 2008 season. For more information, contact Coach Angela Knott at 405-372-5115.



Softball clinic

A three-day softball clinic for slow- and fast-pitch players is scheduled for May 28-30 from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. each day at Little Couch Park. Stillwater High coaches, players and certified ASA coaches will conduct the sessions. All skill levels from ages six years old through eighth grade are encouraged to attend. The clinic will cover hitting, fielding and basic fundamentals.

Cost is $35 for the three-day session, which includes a camp t-shirt. Team and family discounts are also available. The clinic is sponsored by the Stillwater Fast Pitch Softball Association with all proceeds benefitting Stillwater Lady Pioneer softball.

Soccer tryouts

Stillwater High boys soccer tryouts will be Tuesday and Thursday at Babcock Park from 5:15 p.m.-6:15 p.m. All male students entering 9-12th grades during the 2008-09 school year are eligible. Speed and Agility Camp

Stillwater High is offering its speed and agility program to all athletes in grades five through 12 at GameOn Sports (3189 S. Perkins Road) from June 2-July 18.

This Monday-Wednesday-Thursday program focuses on foot speed, agility, strength, explosion, first-step quickness and vertical jump. SCU speed coordinator Brian Huff will lead all training sessions with assistance from SHS coaches.

5-8th graders will go from 7:30-9 a.m., while 9-12th will be from 9-10:30 a.m.

The cost is $185 for the summer. Signing up by May 15 is worth a $15 discount.

All athletes paid in full by May 23 will receive a bonus week of training July 21-25.

Volleyball camp

Stillwater Volleyball Camp will be held June 9-13 at Stillwater High School. Flyers can be downloaded at www.eteamz.com/stillwatervball, and middle school and junior high players can pick up a flyer in the main office.
