Perry BOE eyes resignations

The Perry Board of Education is scheduled to consider several appointments and contracts for the coming school year when it meets Monday.
The board also could enter closed session to discuss resignations from Joey Reinart and Joan Hubble, and the hiring of a second grade teacher and secondary Spanish teacher. Any action must come after the board returns to open session.
Board members could approve the following appointments for the 2008-9 school year:
• Tim Smith, federal programs coordinator and purchasing officer, designated insurance and AHERA agent, fundraiser approval officer;
• Tamera Kelly, payroll/personnel clerk, minutes clerk and encumbrance clerk;
• Dianna Brorsen, activity fund custodian, assistant district treasurer and assistant minutes clerk;
• Leslie Fleming, encumbrance clerk, accounts payable clerk and assistant activity fund custodian;
• Rena Wheatley, Noble County treasurer, as district treasurer;
• Rhonda Stevens, Title IX coordinator and 504 compliance officer.
Among other agenda items, the board will consider:
• Granting a right-of-way (35-foot easement) on the south side of the new elementary property to the city of Perry Utility Department;
• Student transfers for the 2008-9 school year;
• A contract with Perry Memorial Hospital (physical therapy services);
• Renewal of the maintenance subscription with the OSSBA;
• Worker’s compensation contract with OSAG in the amount of $45,914;
• OSU Clinical Experiences Agreement;
• Renewal contract for $500 with The Center For Education Law;
• Renewal contract with Dogs Against Drugs, Inc., for $2,120;
• Renewal contract with Edwin Fair Community Mental Health Center, Inc.;
• Moving July’s board meeting to July 21.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Perry Middle School Media Center, 1303 N. 15th St., Perry.
