Audrea Dawn Brown and Ciara Speight have been selected Stillwater High School Students of the Week.
Brown is the daughter of Donald and Marilyn Brown Jr. and has a 3.175 grade point average.
She has been a member of FCCLA, Key Club and FFA for one year, NAACP for three years, DECA for 1/2 year and the Seminole Nation for 18 years.
She has done eight hours per year community service as an intern for the Department of Corrections.
Her honors include being named to the National Honor Roll, received the Outstanding Academic Achievement and was chosen the “Most Unforgettable Senior.”
She has competed in the Stillwater High Talent Show of which she received second place. She also competed in the poetry and art contests in Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Her outside activities include being in the gospel choir the past two years, is a youth usher and has been a tutor for one year.
She worked eight hours per week for Leanne Sims for one year in child care.
She describes herself as proud, black and a woman. Her future plans are to earn a business major at Oklahoma State University.
Speight is the daughter of Raymond and Yokolanda Speight. She has been a member of the Key Club, FCCLA and Spanish Club for one year.
Her community service has been two hours per year from the Salvation Army sorting Christmas gifts and Acadiana Center for the Arts annual fund raiser.
Her honors include being VH1 Song of the Year finalist, Who’s Who Among American High School Students and was named a Venture’s Scholar. She has been in numerous choir and chorale competitions.
Her outside activities include guitar lessons, her church choral group and chorale performances.
She has done summer work for the OSU CEAT Students Services.
She describes herself as dependable, responsible and consistent. She plans to obtain a degree in biochemistry and attend medical school.
