The fourth annual Linsenmeyer reunion was held Memorial Day weekend on May 27 at the Cedar Valley RV Park Recreation Hall west of Guthrie.
The family gathered for a potluck lunch at noon followed by a round of introductions and family branch histories by each of the family members.
Dale Linsenmeyer announced plans for the next reunion which will take place Labor Day weekend 2009 in Beatrice, Neb., where the original Linsenmeyer homestead is located where the great-grandparents settled when they came by boat from Germany.
The news that had everyone on the edge of their seat was the group discussion about the 2010 family trip to Germany. A committee was formed and the group will plan to visit their great-grandparents’ home in Dinkelsbuhl, Germany, and many other sites.
Dorothy Ochs Stone then lead a caravan of those interested to tour the old Ochs homestead and Lutheran cemetery as well as the home in Guthrie where Great-Grandma Ochs lived. The evening ended back at the Cedar Valley RV Park for more stories and photo swapping and some delicious homemade ice cream.
Those who didn’t go on the tour visited and several got in a quick game of golf during the afternoon.

Those organizing this year’s reunion were Jeff Ramming, Mary Ann Wedel and Ida Rose. Jason Linsenmeyer, Eric and Sandra Skach and Jeff Ramming will organize the 2011 reunion in Oklahoma.
