Charlotte’s Josh Fields finished April with a .256 batting average, four homers and 13 RBIs. Since a 3-for-5 game against Durham on April 23, the Stilwater High product has two hits in 18 at-bats. The Triple-A Knights are 12-12.
• Cody Ehlers homered on Tuesday night and is hitting .250 with five homers and 18 RBIs for Double-A Trenton.
• Brett Anderson improved to 4-1 on Saturday with six innings of work against Rancho Cucamonga. The Stockton (Calif.) left-hander has tossed 26 1/3 innings and allowed nine runs while striking out 26.
• Perkins-Tryon’s Jeremy Hefner is 2-2 with a 2.86 ERA in 22 innings for Class-A Fort Wayne. The right-hander has struck out 29 batters and given just 19 hits in six appearances.
• Reliever Rudy Darrow picked up his first save of 2008 on Monday. The right-handed P-T product is 3-1 with a .63 ERA in 14 1/3 innings for Class-A West Michigan.
• Former Cowboy Corey Brown was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles Wednesday night for Class-A Kane County. Brown is hitting .326 with five homers and 17 RBIs.
• Rusty Ryal is hitting .325 for Double-A Mobile. The Perry product was 2-for-4 on Wednesday night.
• Jon Adkins picked up his fourth save of the season Wednesday, tossing 2/3 of an inning for Triple-A Louisville. The veteran has worked 17 1/3 innings this spring.
• Ty Wright was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Class-A Daytona on Wednesday. The outfielder is hitting .300.
