Another Gundy tirade
While players and coaches were milling around on the field following the game but before the trophy presentation, Ray Gundy, the father of Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy, was walking around with one of Coach Gundy’s young sons on his hip. He came over to a group of media members and unleashed a profanity-laced tirade at one male columnist that concluded with, “Print that in your f****** paper!”

Bowman joins elite club
Senior receiver Adarius Bowman caught six passes for 74 yards and a score, pushing his season total to 1,006 yards for the year. He joins Rashaun Woods as the only Cowboys with multiple 1,000-yard seasons.

Bryant sets records…
Freshman receiver Dez Bryant became the first Cowboy to catch multiple touchdown passes in a bowl. He caught nine balls for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

Robinson does too…
Sophomore quarterback Zac Robinson finished the year with 3,617 yards of total offense after throwing for 302 and running for 70 in the bowl game. The total offense is a single-season school record and his 847 rushing yards are the most for a Cowboy quarterback.
He also had the program’s fourth-most passing yards in a bowl game, trailing only Gundy in the 1988 Holiday Bowl (315) and Josh Fields in the 2002 Houston Bowl (310) and 2004 Cotton Bowl (307).

And the offense…
The Cowboys finished with an average of 486.3 yards of total offense. That trails only the 1988 club, featuring Gundy, Barry Sanders and Hart Lee Dykes, which averaged 515.2 per game.

Bowl notes
OSU improves to 12-6 in bowl games, while Indiana falls to 3-6.
The 82 total points in the game actually fell just below the bowl’s average of 82.4 points in the past five years. The only bowl averaging more points is the Hawaii Bowl, which is at 88.4 per game.
