Oklahoma State University faculty and staff will be able to purchase 2008-9 parking permits online beginning July 28. All permits may be purchased at www.parking.okstate.edu under the “Purchase a Permit” link. Current permits expiring July 31 will be valid until Aug. 15.
New employees must purchase their permit in the Parking Office located at 104 USDA Building on Farm Road.
The now-open Monroe Street parking garage will provide 1,100 parking spaces to faculty, staff, students and visitors. A limited number of permits will be sold online under each designated permit type on a first-come, first-served basis. Garage permits are $120. Reserved spaces are available for faculty and staff for $500 plus the permit cost. Those who purchase the reserved permit will have the option to use payroll deduction, which will be handled by the Bursar Office.
The parking garage will be connected to the new Multi-Modal Transportation Facility, which will be the hub for transit service throughout the campus and Stillwater. All permit holders will be able to Park-N-Ride.
Parking and Transit Services is beginning its third year of the OPTIONS! program, which emphasizes the wide variety of alternatives available for commuting to and getting around campus. The program includes:
• Carpool available to groups of two or more.
• The Bus has both on and off campus routes at no cost to faculty and staff with a valid ID.
• Park-N-Ride – Park in an overflow lot and The Bus will pick you up.
• Bike racks are available on the front of all the buses.
