Donna Sue Frame, 64, of Perkins, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at her home, where she was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Perkins Cemetery with Chaplain Steve Haley officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
Donna was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Tryon to Everett and Lucille (Johnson) Vassar. She grew up and attended schools in Tryon, graduating from Tryon High School. On Oct. 21, 2001, she married Richard Burt Frame III in Eureka Springs, Ark. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2006. Donna worked for many years as the manager of McAnally’s Convenience Store. When not working, Donna enjoyed relaxing at the lake, shopping, solving crossword puzzles and word search puzzles. Donna also enjoyed going to the casino. Donna loved to work in her garden, raising all kinds of vegetables. She was especially well known for her tomatoes. She also loved to grow flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Arnold Vassar; and one sister, Dixie Vassar.
She is survived by one daughter, Rodonda Sue West and her husband, Russell of Perkins; one son, Jimmie Ronald Johnson, Jr. and his wife Judy of Stillwater; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Vassar of Cushing; and many other loving family members and friends.
