— Mae Dean Sewell, 84, of Tulsa died on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Strode Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley M. Warfield, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born May 11, 1923 in Yale to Clifton Cottman and Ida (Jackson) Cottman. She married Joel Raymond Sewell on Nov. 7, 1942 in Dalhart, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1969.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Darl Cottman.
She is survived by two sons, Greg Sewell and his wife Jenanna of Tulsa, and Raymond Scott Sewell of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two nephews; and two nieces.
