Joseph Ralph Winters

Funeral services for Joseph Ralph Winters, 69, of Perkins are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stan Warfield officiating. Interment will follow in Bristow Cemetery, Bristow. There will be no procession to the cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home.
Joseph was born Aug. 6, 1938 in Tulsa to Claude Allen and Josephine (Franco) Winters. He grew up and attended schools in the Tulsa area. With great honor, he was accepted to Remington Rand Univac School of New York, graduating in 1960 as an electronic engineer. He went to work in Baton Rouge, La., for Univac, returning to Tulsa to work for Midwestern.
He worked as an electronic engineer most of his life in various capacities. In later years, he enjoyed working with computers.
He soon found himself in love and married Mary Ann Winters. They were blessed with two children. The family moved to Stillwater in 1966 where he worked for Labko Scientific.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and meeting with the guys and hanging out on Thursday nights.
He was well-liked by everyone, and had no enemies to speak of. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends in Stillwater.
Joseph departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 17, 2008 in Stillwater.
He is survived by: son, Thomas Ralph Winters of Stillwater; daughter, Julia Ann Ludolph of Stillwater; granddaughters, Alisa Ludolph and Christina Ludolph of Stillwater; great-granddaughter, Isabella Marie Ludolph-Reyes of Stillwater; brothers, Walter Winters of Tulsa and Richard R. Winters of Kellyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five half-sisters, Neoma Wallace, Lucille Towrey, Wilma, Madge McBee, and Kathleen; and one half-brother, Ted Winters.
