Margaret Driggs

Margaret Driggs, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in her home at the age of 73 years.
The daughter of the late Ernest “Buck” Morgan and Verna Meisenhelter Morgan, Margaret was born on Aug. 29, 1934, in Iowa, La., and received her education in several different cities, graduating from Cushing High School.
She was united in marriage to Richard Driggs on Aug. 29, 1953, in Cushing and to this union two daughters, Lori and Cindy were born.
The couple had worked in retail management for several years together prior to owning and operating the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Cushing.
Margaret enjoyed her family first and foremost and was well known for her vacation planning and her cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Richard, of the home; two daughters, Lori Toland and her husband, Gary, and Cindy Clark, all of Cushing; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Clark, Devon Toland and Colby Toland; one great-granddaughter, Alivia Snow; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Christian Church with the Rev. John Owens with Sojourn Care Hospice, officiating.
