Jawayne Dale Hathcock, 44, of Stillwater, slipped into the arms of his Lord and Savior Monday, April 14, 2008, at his home surrounded by his loving family and his best friend, Debbie.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel with his brother, J.D. Hathcock, officiating.
Jawayne was born Dec. 18, 1963, in Tulsa, to John Dwayne and Vinita (Whiteside) Hathcock. He grew up and attended schools in Sand Springs. Jawayne married Robin Annette Lea July 4, 1989, in Sand Springs.
He loved boxing and won the Tulsa Tough Man Contest in 1991. His other hobbies included fishing, collecting baseball cards and hanging with his wife and children. For the past 10 years, Jawayne was employed by Ceiling Masters as a job superintendent. He loved his job and the people he worked with. Services are under the direction of Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home, Stillwater.
He is survived by his wife, Robin of the home; one daughter, Summer of Stillwater; one son, Josh of Stillwater; mother, Vinita of Sand Springs; two brothers, Jace Hathcock of Sand Springs and J.D. Hathcock and his wife, Krystal, of Bristow; one sister, Tammy Todd and her husband, Cedrick, of Jenks; three nephews, Christian Todd of Jenks, Jeremy Lea of Tulsa and Kaden Hackney of Stillwater; three nieces, Heather Todd of Jenks, Hannah Hathcock of Bristow and Jamie Lea of Stillwater; two brothers-in-law, Mike Lea of Collinsville and Tony Hackney of Stillwater; and best friend, Debbie and her son, Jeffery, of Tulsa.
