Geneva Lynn Freeman
Geneva Lynn Freeman, age 51 of Cushing passed away Monday, March 31, 2008, in her home in Cushing. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church, Cushing.
Pastor Sonny Johnston will officiate. Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Geneva was born Dec. 12, 1956, in Cushing, to the late Raymond and Ida Ruth (Benton) Dorle.
She was one of 10 siblings. Geneva grew up in Cushing and attended Cushing schools. She married Larnce James Freeman April 16, 1976. She was a homemaker. Geneva loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and fishing, taking vacations and cooking. She spent so much of her time caring and taking care of others.
Geneva is survived by her daughter, Kim Collier and husband, Shawn, of Cushing; step-daughter, Christy Krueger and husband, Ronnie, of Texas; brothers, Don Dorle and wife, Jawanda, of Silver City, Gene Dorle and wife, Linda and Larry Dorle, all Cushing and Mark Dorle of Oklahoma City; sisters, Diane Gastelum and husband, Mark, of Glencoe, Janet Landry, Connie Norvell and husband, Mark and Jackie Lann and husband, Anthony, all of Cushing; grandchildren, Buddy Lee Byrd and wife, Chelsea and Zachary Byrd; special nephew, Ryan Tosado; and special uncle, Oscar Benton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother, Scotty Dorle.
