Mary Isabelle Armstrong
Services for Mary Isabelle Armstrong, 83, Ada, are at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Free Will Baptist Church; the Rev. David Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow in Swan Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-7 Thursday evening in Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Armstrong died Monday, March 17, 2008, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1924, in DeQueen, Ark., to Meddie Roy and Beulah Wilson Davidson. She graduated from high school in DeQueen.
She married Kenneth Lee “Buck” Armstrong Jan. 11, 1947, in Seminole. He died in May of 1983. She and her husband moved to Ada in 1972 from Pawhuska. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jeff Armstrong and wife, Susan, Ft. Smith, Ark., Greg Armstrong and wife, Pamla, Ada and Brian Armstrong and wife, DeeDee, Atoka; one daughter, Gina Leach and husband, Tommy, Stillwater; a daughter-in-law, Karen Armstrong, Mustang; 11 grandchildren, Jason Armstrong, Jeremy Armstrong, Shane Armstrong, Adam Stout, Landry Leach, Andrew Leach, Lara Leach, Faith Kelley, Lindsey Cratin, Allison Armstrong and Caleb Armstrong; one great granddaughter, Kallie; two sisters, Ev McClure, Sallisaw and Vern Baber, Sallisaw; two brothers, Sam Davidson, Mayfield, Ky. and Randy Davidson, Springdale, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Steve Armstrong.
Bearers will be her grandsons.
Criswell Funeral Home in Ada is handling the arrangements.
