New lead pops up in missing man case
Lynne Neveu
Investigators recently received new information regarding Heath Riley Reams, a Yale man who disappeared the morning of July 27, 2003, Jessica Brown, OSBI public information officer said.
She could not say what that information was, however.
Reams, 26, was last seen in Jennings on July 27, 2003. A few months later, his 1997 Toyota 4Runner was found abandoned in a remote, wooded area about 3 miles east of Jennings, Brown said.
Brown said in February 2004, Payne County District Attorney Rob Hudson requested OSBI assistance in the investigation into the Yale man’s disappearance. Since then, OSBI agents have conducted numerous interviews and devoted countless hours investigating.
According to reports, Reams was reported missing by his mother on Aug. 2, 2003.
Brown said Reams is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with dark brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of a large leprechaun on his right leg from below his knee to his ankle in yellow and green colors.
She said the investigator in the case is hopeful that up to a $5,000 reward will entice someone to come forward. The money will be awarded to the person who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for Ream’s disappearance.
If anyone has information about Ream’s disappearance, please call the OSBI hotline at (800) 522-8017.
