School board looks at fund encumbrances

Financial issues will dominate the Perkins-Tryon Board of Education meeting tonight.

Fund encumbrances on the agenda include the general fund encumbrances of $32,678 and child nutrition fund encumbrances of $1,045. The board will also hear the activity fund report and consider any activity fund transfers as presented.

Board members are scheduled to vote on a resolution approving and affirming a ground lease agreement and a lease purchase agreement authorizing it, acknowledging assignment of lessor’s interest in lease purchase agreement, designating lease transaction as a qualified tax-exempt obligation and authorizing school district officials to execute any and all necessary documents in connection with the lease agreement.

They will also consider a policy to include anaphylaxis medication and to approve the contract for career and technology education programs for the 2008-09 school year.

The board will enter executive session to discuss the employment of any personnel as recommended for the 2008-09 school year.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at 103 S.W. Second in Perkins.
