Charges filed in armed robbery

Laura Wilson - NewsPress

A Morrison man was charged Thursday with armed robbery in Payne County District Court.

Christopher Stephen Neece, 30, is accused of robbing the Git-N-Galup at 2404 N. Perkins on Aug. 25 with a knife. The felony charged filed against him alleges that he “brandished a knife at the clerk and demanded the store’s money.”

Stillwater Police officers responded to the armed robbery call at the store at 11 p.m., on Aug. 25 and were told that a man came into the store, waited for all other customers to leave, then robbed the clerk at knifepoint, taking an undetermined amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.

The charge is punishable by imprisonment for not less than 20 years and a $10,000 fine.
