Convenience store robbed at knifepoint

A man armed with a knife robbed a convenience store in north Stillwater on Monday.

Stillwater Police Department officers responded to a call of an armed robbery at Git-N-Galup, 2404 N. Perkins, at 11 p.m. Monday. On arrival, they learned that a man came into the store, waited for all other customers to leave, then robbed the clerk at knifepoint, taking an undetermined amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-7-inch, 200-pound white male who is 30-45 years old. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue denim shorts and work boots.

No one saw the direction he went when he left the store, police said in a press release.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call SPD at 372-4171.
