SPD busts ‘growing’ operation
Two suspects arrested in search, one charged with cultivation of marijuana
Laura Wilson - NewsPress
Stillwater Police arrested two men Monday after searching two apartments and allegedly finding marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash from the sale of drugs.
Charges stemming from the arrests were filed Tuesday in Payne County District Court against Patrick Michael Quinn, 23, and Chad Michael Garvin, 25.
Quinn was charged with two felonies, cultivation of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and one misdemeanor, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Garvin was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Stillwater police received information that led to a search warrant for an apartment at 502 W. Maple. When they served the warrant, they seized “a significant amount of marijuana,” according to a release from the police department, and found an indoor marijuana cultivation operation.
They also seized drug paraphernalia and cash proceeds from drug sales and found information that led to a warrant for an apartment at 416 W. Maple, the release stated. Charges are pending for the resident of that apartment, according to the release.
