Cushing boards hold joint meeting

A joint meeting between the Cushing Board of Commissioners, Municipal Authority Board of Trustees and Hospital Authority Board of Trustees will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in City Hall.

General business will include a discussion of potential election dates during fiscal year 2008-9 relating to the following: Amendments to the city charter, extension of sales tax for capital improvements, hotel/motel tax and purchase of equipment in excess of $60,000 (ambulance approximately $130,000 and front-end loader approximately $100,000).

In other business, a study session with take place with the citizens advisory committee to discuss proposed charter changes and a discussion and possible approval of a resolution which authorizes the general manager to issue a purchase order to Haynes Equipment Co., in the sum of $12,608 for two limitorque valve actuators for the water treatment plant.

The Cushing Hospital Authority will vote for the approval of payment to Gold Seal Appraisals in the sum of $400 for appraisal of 1020 E. Third.

Executive session will be held for the Cushing Hospital Authority to discuss the purchase and appraisal of real estate property.
