Morehouse service
Jennifer Dawn (J.D.) Morehouse, 29, Billings, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Billings. Funeral services, under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Billings, will be in the First Baptist Church in Billings Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery at Billings.

Carleton rites
Pamela Janice Carleton, 53, of Stillwater, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in Stillwater. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Eslinger officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Junior Miss

Oak Park Gospel Jubilee
Jerry Bennett, Nashville, will be featured Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Oak Park Gospel Jubilee to be held in the Oak Park Conference Center, 805 East Kirk, Perkins. Concessions begin at 6:30; music begins at 7. There is no admission; an offering will be taken. For more information call 547-1140 or 742-7040.

Food drive
Tomorrow is the annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. Leave a bag of non perishable food items by your mailbox in the morning. Basic items such as soup, canned vegetables, pasta and cereal are always needed. Your letter carrier will collect your donation and see that it gets to an area food bank.

Commencement
Spring commencement will be held at Southeastern Oklahoma State University Saturday in Duncan. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at Paul Laird Field. Eligible for graduation are Aaron R. Wick of Stillwater and Laura Mitchell Orr of Perry. Commencement speaker is Dr. Amanda J. Cobb-Greetham, who serves as administrator of the Division of History and Culture for the Chickasaw Nation. In case of rain, two commencement ceremonies will be held in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium. Decision concerning location will be made by noon Friday.
