Library has insects, Jerry Lewis, more

Stillwater Public Library’s “Summer @ Your Library” continues this week with a Jerry Lewis movie, puppets, insects and more.
For Movie Monday, the library is showing a comedy classic starring Jerry Lewis as a silly teacher. The movie, which begins at 2 p.m., lasts 107 minutes and is unrated. All ages are welcome, but children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Popcorn is provided.
On Tuesday, ventriloquist Skeeter Hall and her puppet friends visit the library. The performance includes puppets, humor, music and motivation in attaining goals and higher self-esteem. Performances are in the auditorium at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Insects will make an appearance at the library Wednesday with The Live Insect Zoo of Oklahoma State University’s department of entomology and plant pathology. Teens will have the opportunity to meet insects up close and personal.
The program begins at 2 p.m. in Room 119. Register on-line at library.stillwater.org to be entered in a special drawing for prizes.
Steve Smith, a.k.a. Professor “B” Looney, will present “Don’t Bug Me!” at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Professor “B” Looney will use balloon creations and puppets to teach about insects and other small critters. Performances are in the auditorium.
The next adult program will be July 11, when psychologist Dan Smith presents “Stress Relief.”
The library will be closed Friday for Independence Day. It will reopen Saturday at 9 a.m.
