Hurray for clinic

Hurray! We are getting a Veterans Administration clinic in Stillwater. It is so hard to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to OKC. Most of us don’t feel too swift and it is very tiring on us. If we become ill, we have to have someone drive us to OKC or go to SMC and hope the V.A. will pay the emergency room fees.

This has never been the way to treat veterans who have served their country and given their health and body to their country. Parking is atrocious, we have to wait 1-5 hours to see the doctor and then they only spend 15 minutes with us. All patients are given the same appointment time so everyone shows up at 9, 1 or 3 p.m. and wait, wait, wait.

I applaud whoever got this going and I hope they bring it to fruition.
