Rollover minutes

I have recently contacted my cell phone provider concerning rollover minutes. My husband and I do not even begin to use all of our plan minutes and they just “disappear” after so long. I asked if they (AT&T Mobility) had a plan for donating unused minutes to our troops overseas, so they could call home. I got this idea from the annual CREC meeting where they were collecting old cell phones and sending them to the troops to use to call home.
Right now we have over 5000 left over minutes that will disappear in the coming months. There are a lot of soldiers that would love to call home with those minutes.
They (AT&T) told me they had no such plan but would send the idea on to upper management. Everyone with minutes to spare should contact their carrier and request such a donation plan, then perhaps this would happen and a lot of families would benefit.
