Yes, Victoria

In reference to Randi Eldevik’s letter on April 14, “Kern and Islam” and on April 29, “American Freedom,” Eldevik vigorously defends “Muslim fanatics” in the “Kern” letter. Then she uses her literary dagger in the most brutal and savage manner on Victoria Mueggenborg, in the “American Freedom” letter. Mueggenborg’s “yearning for America [to remain] …a Christian nation” is bludgeoned like a rented mule.

Respectfully, Eldevik’s letters ooze with anti-Catholicism, anti-Semitism, bigotry and condescension against Catholics, Protestants and German and Irish immigrants. Her letters are insensitive, hateful, mean spirited, divisive, and historically inaccurate. Set the record straight, Maryland was a Catholic colony, which united with their fanatical Protestant brethren to win the revolution against all odds.

The leftist strategy is to slander America’s Catholics. An excellent example of which is David Yellin’s April 28 letter “Punish the Priests.” Their objective is to destroy the Christian religion, the “opium of the masses.”

Leftists insist that every church and synagogue is full of bigots. They ridicule Judeo-Christian ethics and the “natural law” upon which our Bill of Rights is based.

Leftists and their natural allies the Islamofascists, when confronted the “Bright Shining City of a Hill” mostly gnash their teeth. Some get so upset they travel to Massachusetts to exchange wedding vows. Some actively plan collecting 70 virgins. Others pen letters to the editor, mocking faithful believers like Mueggenborg.

Yes, Victoria, there is a passionate love affair between God and America. Something beautiful, abounding with joy unspeakable, an experience leftists will never comprehend.
