Hank Leo Dooley, age 26, of Cushing, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008, in Yale.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church, Yale. Brother Mich Dershem will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lawson Cemetery, Yale.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale.
Casket bearers will be Tyler Eubank, Ryan Mueggenborg, Matt Mueggenborg, Nick Thomas, Chad Heilmann, Andrew Wallace, Robbie Evans and Ray Reece. Honorary casket bearers will be Chuck Ramsey and Pat O’Kelley.
Hank was born on Sept. 12, 1981, in Stillwater, to Lonnie and Susan Dooley.
He grew up in Yale, attending Yale Schools.
Hank was very active in basketball, playing on the Yale High School Basketball State Championship Teams in 1998-1999, 1999-2000.
He graduated from Yale High School in 2000.
Hank was awarded a scholarship in basketball from N.E.O in Miami.
He transferred to UCO the next year. Hank attended the Vo-Tech in Sapulpa and received his LPN in 2004.
He worked for the Cushing Hospital about a year.
Hank started working for the City of Cushing in the street department in 2005, where he was employed at the time of his death.
He loved spending time with his brother, Ben, weight lifting and training for up coming competitions.
Hank also loved spending time his daughter, Rian.
Hank is survived by his daughter, Rian Shay Dooley of Stillwater; mother, Susan Dooley of Cushing; brothers, Ben Dooley and Rachael Mullins of Yale and Lonnie Jack Dooley and wife, Teresa, of Cushing; nephew, Dustin Dooley of Cushing; and grandfather, Carl Dooley and wife, Rosie, of Rogers, Ark.
Hank was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Dooley; grandparents, Ann and Vernon Turner; and grandmother, Alta Mae Dooley.
