My mom is the best because ...

Stillwater NewsPress asked its readers to tell us why their mothers are the best for Mother’s Day.

Today, we are running all the entries. Next Sunday, on Mother’s Day, we’ll announce the winner.

So you ask “Why is my mom the best?” Well she is an amazing lady!! She does so much for me and my two siblings such as coach my 14 and under traveling team, coach Joshua’s T-ball team, and take care of her family!! We love her very much!

My mother, Lori Crosby is the best because she is always there for me if im down or just need a hug. She owns three daycares which is alot on her hands and shes most of the times busy, but always makes alot of extra time for her 4 kids. When we are sick boy does she help us she will ask us every seccond if were okay or if we need anything! My 50 words are almost up but i could go so much farther on what she does and how she helps people and the world.

My Mama is my Best Friend, Critic, Counselor, Fashion Consultant, Sharer, Lover. Faith, Hope and Love are continuously expressed in her example of prayerful daily living, physical and emotional support , honest yet compassionate advice, and most of all, her “on call” sweet hugs and kisses that I will treasure always.

I think my mom is the best mom in the world because she always help my brothers and I when we need her help. She is always busy with everyday things, she also helps anyone else that needs help. She is such a busy women. I want my mom to have the best mothers day ever, one that she will remember forever. I love my mom so much if she ever needed my help i would do anything to help her out. She has helped me out so much with school and everyday things.

I consider my foster mom Robin to be the best mom in the world because she does so much for everyone. She is getting ready to adopt my sister Felica and little brother Dalton. She has done so much for us since we moved in with her. We have eight people that live in our house. She is always busy she never has time to do anything for her self. She does so much for everyone and is never appreciated for any of it. I love my mom, she is the worlds best.

My mom is definitely the best because she is so much more than a mom. She is a hard worker, an inspiration, a counselor, a comedian, a blessing and a best friend. She puts love into everything she does, and I love her more than 50 words could ever express!

My Mother is 90 years old and I still cannot keep up with her. She is never at home, always gone with her friends of all ages. Everyone, without exception, is welcome in her home and all visitors feel comfortable and relaxed. What a good example she has set.

While raising three children on military bases around the world, Mom dragged us to church camps, girl/boy scout meetings, volunteer events and other wholesome activities to keep us out of trouble. Today, she’s the best Grandma ever to three granddaughters; acting as a nanny, taxi-driver, event coordinator, adviser and friend, giving tirelessly everyday to show us the love, support and guidance she has always given.

My Mother is one of my best friends. Father died leaving her with five children. I watched her struggle to pay the debt left behind, work full time, and be a homemaker. She did it with such determination, that I didn’t think it odd that she worked so hard. When my father died, she couldn’t drive. My sister taught her. She bought her first home and was so afraid that she couldn’t do it. Encouragement from sister and Aunt Nelly reminded her she’d been paying all the bills for years. Her joy was her children and her life totally revolved around us. Going to church was not an option. Sleep in and not go to church, stay home over the weekend. Defiant and disrespectful, grounded! The faith I had in God came from the firm foundation built around us. She is a good friend to many and a tireless campaigner to keep her neighborhood beautiful. She is beautiful and I love her more than I can say.

My name is Monica. I laid my mother to rest seven years ago. I am here visiting my friend and I must say that her mother Waneeta is a GREAT cook, fun loving woman who has made my visit to Stillwater one that I will never forget. Thank you Waneeta and Happy Mother’s Day.

My mom is the best mom because she help me roll papers and put them together on Sunday. When I go to a friend or relatives house she does the papers for me. She takes me to all of my sports programs. She takes me for rides on our bikes. She takes me to fun places like Incredible Pizza. She makes fabulous dinners like spagetti and chicken tetrazeini. She helps me with my homwork.

I never treated my mother nice growing up. Now that I’m a mother, I understand her role so much better and cannot thank her enough! She is the best, because she’s forgiven me and never brings up my past failures. We are best friends since we are both mothers now!

My moms the best because she loves me like nobody else whould. We do makeovers. When we do makeovers we do make up, are feet, we curl up are hair, we take a bath in her bubbly bath tub. We cut are nails, we file are nails and we paint our nails. (You name it!) My moms the best because she plans are faimly trips. She lets us stay in hotels (which is really fun!). She lets us go to the park and see the ducks. P.S. We feed the ducks. But most of all why I think shes the best mom because she is really fun and she loves me.

After an extended illness, my biological mother passed. God made sure I would be taken care of. Believe me, my new mother received a handful. But this strong Christian woman endured. She loves me unconditionally, supports and comforts a type of beautiful mind and is helping me find my spiritual growth.

My name is Rachel Kirkpatrick, and I would say that my mom, Charlotte Kirkpatrick, is a great mother for so many reasons. I would say the biggest reason is that my mother cared about my brother and I so much that she put her dreams on hold to spend time with us and watch us grow up. In my eyes, she is flawless, but she doesn’t always see what I see. So I wanted to write this just to let her know how much I love and respect what she does for us, and if nothing else just to sing her praises, which she doesn’t get as often as she should.

She is my best friend and has been by my side through cancer — driving me 40 miles 3 time a week, dressing and bathing me. Getting up in the middle of the night to help me to the rest room. Now she has cancer and I have a chance to show just a small portion of the love she has so freely given. Most of all she raised me in church and I learned with God in my life, ALL things are possible. She is my best friend.
