The Stillwater Medical Center Foundation will host the “Tin Cup Classic,” its annual golf tournament, on Friday, May 9, at Lakeside Memorial Golf Course. The tournament benefits SMC’s annual Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic, which has provided over 60,000 flu shots to the community since the program began in 1996.
“The community is very supportive of the hospital’s drive-thru flu shot program, and it is great to have business, industry and community leaders come forward as tournament sponsors in support of this program,” said Cade Crawford, chair for the 2008 Tin Cup Classic.
Stillwater Designs is marking their third year as a platinum level sponsor for the tournament. In addition, they are providing four of Kicker’s “iKick” portable speaker systems for iPods, which will serve as first place team prizes.
“We are proud to be involved with this program - not only for the health of our own employees -but also as a partner with Stillwater Medical Center in the health of our community,” shared Steve Irby, president of Stillwater Designs.
Business leaders are asked to consider a variety of sponsorship opportunities that range from $250 for an advertising sponsorship to $5,000 for a platinum sponsorship package.
“This is one of those events that really gives a business, large or small, an opportunity to get some great exposure to many well known business owners and community members,” Bill Thompson, tournament committee member said.
Entry fee for a single golfer is $100, which includes lunch, tee gifts, green fees and cart rental, range balls and a 19th hole reception.
The tournament is limited to the first 100 players. Contact the SMC Foundation at 405-742-5728 to register.
