Taste of Stillwater offers Mega-Buffet

TThe 11th Annual Taste of Stillwater is set for March 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Stillwater High School gymnasium. The all-you-can-eat buffet-style event allows guests to sample foods from more than 35 local restaurants in a family-friendly atmosphere.

The annual fund raiser is sponsored by the Stillwater Public Education Foundation. Proceeds from the event fund the foundation’s grant programs, which provided over $70,000 in innovative and creative educational projects and equipment for Stillwater school children in 2007, according to Gina Miller, foundation executive director.

“Taste of Stillwater will offer adult guests more food and drink options than ever before, with so many brand new and established restaurants participating,” said Miller, “and the little ones will be entertained by kid-friendly food choices, as well as visits by Eskimo Joe and Buffy, and the Chic-Fil-A cow. It really is a great way to feed your family dinner, have a good time together, and help Stillwater school children all at the same time,” she said.

Advance ticket prices are $12 for adults and $6 for students, kindergarten through fifth grade. A “SPEF Special” is being offered for advance purchases, with five tickets available for $50. Kids pre-kindergarten and younger eat free. Adult tickets purchased at the door will be $15.

Restaurants participating in this year’s event include Aggie’s Big House, Buffalo Wild Wings, Charlie’s Chicken, Chic-Fil-A, Chili’s Grill, Cici’s Pizza, Consumer’s IGA Bakery, Da Bubble, El Chico, El Tapatio, Best Western Patio, El Vaquero, Eskimo Joe’s, Starbucks, Food Pyramid, Freddie Pauls, Goldie’s, Hide-away Pizza, IHOP, Joseppi’s, Kyoto’s, McAlister’s Deli.
