• Balcer-Silvers

Sarah Elizabeth Balcer and Colt Christopher Silvers, both of Ripley, will wed Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Mehan Union Church in Stillwater.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Martha Balcer, Ripley. She is the granddaughter of Joann Ward, Ponca City, and the late Tom Ward and Beverly Tubbs, Stillwater, and the late John Balcer Sr.

The groom-to-be is the son of Don and Brenda Silvers, Ripley. He is the grandson of Bob and Mary Silvers, Stillwater, and Gary and Beverly Shenold, Glencoe.

Balcer graduated from Ripley High School in 2006. She attends Oklahoma State University and plans to graduate in 2010 with a degree in elementary education.

Silvers graduated from Ripley High School in 2004 and from OSU in 2008 with a degree in agribusiness. He works for SST Development Group in Stillwater.



• Chaffin-Schroeder

Chelsey Chaffin and Jason Schroeder, both of Asher, will wed Saturday, July 19, 2008, at 3 p.m. in St. Johns University Parish.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gary and Churee Chaffin, Lone Grove.

The groom-to-be is the son of Steve and Debbie Schroeder, Stillwater.

Chaffin graduated from Marlow High School and is attending East Central University, where she plans to graduate in May 2009 with a degree and certification in elementary education.

Schroeder graduated from Stillwater High School in 2002 and from ECU in 2007 with a math degree and teacher certification. He is head boys and girls basketball coach in Asher.
