• McPhillips-Kerr

Shelly McPhillips, Bartlesville, and Brandon Kerr, Stillwater, will wed Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 4 p.m. in Bennett Chapel in Stillwater.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Larry and Denise McPhillips, Bartlesville. The groom-to-be is the son of Stanley and Mara Kerr.



• Reeves-de la Pena

Hilary Reeves and C.J. de la Pena, both of Glencoe, will wed Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Church of Christ in Glencoe before Jack Reeves.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of James and June Reeves, Glencoe. The groom-to-be is the son of Carlos and Dianna de la Pena, Okmulgee.

Reeves graduated in 1999 from Glencoe High School and in 2003 from Oklahoma State University with a degree in early childhood education. She has taught pre-K at Glencoe Elementary for five years. She enjoys sports and being with family and friends.

De la Pena is a 2002 home school graduate and a 2004 graduate of OSU-Okmulgee with a degree in CNC machining. He works for Mercruiser of Stillwater.



• Smith-Townsend

Erica Smith and Will Townsend, both of Stillwater, will wed Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church before Father Ken Harder.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Deborah Smith, Stillwater, and Mark Smith, Pawhuska. The groom-to-be is the son of Bud and Betty Townsend, Stillwater.

Smith graduated from Stillwater High School in 2000 and from Oklahoma State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a minor in history. She will graduate cum laude in 2008 with a master’s degree in educational leadership. She has worked as a graduate assistant in the OSU department of residential life since July 2005. She was recognized by a regional professional organization as Oklahoma’s Graduate Assistant of the Year for 2008.

Born and raised in Stillwater, Townsend graduated from Stillwater High School in 2000. He attended Conception Seminary College in 2003 and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2005 with a degree in political science and a minor in history. A member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, he was elected to the executive committee in 2002. In 2004, he began a three-year term on the St. Francis Xavier Parish Council, serving as council president in his last year. For two years, he has been a volunteer coach with Stillwater Parks and Recreation youth basketball program. He works at BancFirst.
