Brett William Slusser
Brett William Slusser, 56, Stillwater, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Stillwater.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 19, 1952, in Topeka, Kan., to Robert D. “Bob” Slusser and Velda Marie (Beedy) Slusser. He married Dianah Sue Ratliff on Oct. 21, 1972, in Stillwater. She preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 1996
He graduated from high school in Nixa, Mo., in 1970. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in the fall of 1970 and was medically discharged later that year.
He worked as an auto mechanic and once taught auto mechanics at the Kiamichi Vo-Tech in Stigler. He was a member of the Eagles Nest.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Jana Becker.
He is survived by his mother, Velda Slusser of Nixa, Mo.; two daughters, Tonya Williams and Anita Council, both of Mustang; two granddaughters, Dianah Council and Destiny Council of Mustang; one brother, Marc Slusser and his wife Patta of Stillwater; three nieces, Lindsey Slusser, Kelsey Slusser and Ashlynn Slusser of Stillwater; and fiancée, Pat Minko of Stillwater.
