Geraldine ‘Gerry’ A. Fisher

Geraldine “Gerry” A. Fisher of Stillwater, formerly of Wichita, Kan., died Saturday, May 24, 2008, of complications due to multiple sclerosis. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater with the Rev. Rick Anthony officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Gerry was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was born and raised in Stillwater where she graduated from high school. She married James E. Fisher in 1955.

Jim and Gerry moved to Wichita in 1968 where Gerry was a homemaker, raised her family and worked as a secretary at Brooks Junior High.

Gerry is preceded in death by her husband, parents, Glen and Alice Miller; two brothers, James and Charles Miller; and infant daughter, Gayla Ann.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Keith Abbott of Norman; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Nancy Fisher of Westerville, Ohio; son and daughter-in law, Lee and Jean Fisher of Derby, Kan.; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Bob Anthony of Norman; grandchildren, Jake and Erin Abbott, MaryBeth and Rance Riley, Rachel Abbott, Rebekah Abbott, Kyle Fisher, Drew Fisher, Holly Fisher, Ryan Fisher, Matthew Fisher; great grandchildren, Jay Abbott, Luke Abbott, Carder Riley and Crue Riley; and many nieces and nephews.
