Doris Marie Rains

— Doris Marie Rains, 80, of Stillwater, died on Monday, May 19, 2008, in Guthrie. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday in Strode Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Weathers officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on April 1, 1928, in Stillwater, to Raymond William Schatz and Grace Mae (King) Schatz. She married Delbert Verneil Rains on May 8, 1946, in Winfield, Kan. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1998.
She attended Stillwater Schools and graduated from Stillwater High School. She attended Oklahoma A&M College and was a charter member of the Highland Park PTA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by three sons, Timothy Rains and his wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City, Michael Rains and his wife, Sandy, of Pryor and Daniel Rains and his wife, Toni, of Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter, Toni Sue Rathbun and her husband, Darrell, of Glencoe; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Bennie Raymond Schatz of Stillwater; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Raymond Davison, Fred Rains, Ryan Rains, Danny Rains, Mike Rains, Tim Rains and Luke Schatz.
