James Michael Winn
James Michael Winn, 58, of Stillwater, died on Monday, May 19, 2008, in Stillwater. Funeral services will be held in Solid Rock Church, 2917 East Sixth, Stillwater, Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Yankunas officiating.
He was born Feb. 11, 1950, in Scobie, Mont., to Kenneth and Donna Hagfeldt Winn. He married Eva White on Aug. 12, 1972, in Okeene.
Jim was a 1st Sgt. Retired U.S. Army and served at Fort Carson, Colo., three tours of duty in Germany, two tours of duty at Fort Bliss, Texas, and also served at Fort Ord, Calif., and Fort Riley, Kan. Jim was also a veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army, Jim and his family moved to Stillwater where he was employed at Lowes. Jim was a valued member of Solid Rock Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Winn; daughter, Jaime Gardner and her husband, Sam; and daughter, Abby Varnum and her husband, David, and daughter Ashley Winn. Jim had five grandsons, Mark, Andrew, Jeremy, Josh and Benjamin.
