Richard Van Golden passed from this life Sunday, April 13, 2008. He was born July 27, 1949, in El Reno, to Clarence Sumner and Margaret Mary (Van Gundy) Golden.
He graduated from El Reno High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He was a commercial artist, gifted in graphic design, both traditional and digital imaging. He was employed by the Journal Record, NorTex Press, was an adjunct professor at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas, and was currently employed at Stillwater NewsPress.
We will miss his warmth, loving concern and sense of humor.
He was predeceased by both parents and a brother, Clarence Golden.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; two brothers, Jerry Golden of El Reno and Jasper Golden of Duncan; two sisters, Monna Klaus of Yukon and Beth Montgomery of Marlow; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be in Red Rock Methodist Church in Calumet at 10 a.m. Thursday, with burial following in the Red Rock Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home, El Reno.
