Patricia Ellen Sumner Robinson, 69, of Stillwater, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Tulsa. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairlawn Cemetery with Dr. Norman Richmond officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 26, 1939, in Stillwater, to Nola Bates Sumner and Violet Emma Ellen (Willis) Sumner. She was raised in the Nazarene Church and attended Stillwater Schools.
She was an international convention director for the Society of Exploration of Geophysicist. She won awards from two governors for her tourism efforts for the State of Oklahoma. She loved music and singing.
She is survived by two daughters, Terri Lee Hendrix and her husband, Bob, of Claremore and Shauna Lisa Robinson of Tulsa; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; one brother, Charles Bates Sumner and his wife, Charlotte; and one half brother, James Robert Wallace. She was also survived by many cousins within the John and Maggie Casey Family of Stillwater.
