Stillwater Domestic Violence is in need of the following items: Bleach, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, 30-gallon trash bags, clock radios, children’s clothing and shoes, plus-sized ladies’ clothing and fans. In order to assist clients in establishing their own residences, they can use a dinette table and chairs, sofas, coffee tables, end tables, lamps, televisions, DVD players, microwaves, small kitchen appliances, pots and pans. Items can be dropped by the SDV office at 115 E. Fourth or call Peggy at 377-2344 for more information or to arrange pickup.

The Mission of Hope Shelter for the Homeless can use help with the following: Shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, bleach and laundry soap. As always, they need dairy products – milk, butter, eggs, cheese, as well as cooking oil, sugar, coffee and creamer. They have several clients moving out on their own soon, and they will be needing household items, furniture, beds, linens, kitchen items and specifically a can opener, coffee pot, vacuum and sewing machine. Donations can be dropped off at the Shelter, 1804 S. Perkins Road.

The Payne County Systems of Care at the Edwin Fair Mental Health Center could use your help with any of the following items: Non-perishable foods, (cans, pasta, mixes, etc.), window air-conditioner, full-size bed, loveseat, hot water heater, coffee maker and small space heater. Also, they can always use children and adult clothing, including winter clothing, even though it is currently 100 degrees out. Shoes would be nice, too. Call Kaylynne at 372-1250, ext. 45, for more information. Items can be dropped by their office at 800 E. Sixth.

NorthCare’s Safe Families Program works with parents, especially young mothers, who have children under the age of 6. They are always in need of baby items of any kind, diapers, wipes, car seats, clothing and baby furniture. They are also in need of some specific items for some of the families they currently work with. One family is in need of some screen doors. Another is in need of a dining room table, a twin bed or full bed for their sons and a washer. For more information call 372-1131.

St. Francis Community Services is a new community agency that provides foster care for special needs DHS custody children. They are asking for your help with the following items: Couch and love seat, end and coffee tables, file cabinets that lock and storage supply cabinets. If you would like more information on ways you can help or if you have donations, please call St. Francis Community Services at 533-3570.
