Club Notes 08-24-08

• Lahoma Club will hold its first meeting of the 2008-09 academic year from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 8.

Ann Hargis, honorary Lahoma president, will host the luncheon at Willham house, home of the OSU president.

Lahoma Club is open to women who work at or are retired from Oklahoma State University or OSU Foundation or whose spouse works at or is retired from either entity. The club focuses primarily on fostering good fellowship between university women and students and promoting the general interest of OSU. The club sponsors several scholarships each year to support OSU students.

In addition to regular monthly meetings, members can participate in special interest groups, like antiquers, computers, genealogy, ladies’ lunch out, Lahoma traveler and quilting.

The luncheon costs $13.75 per person. Reservations are required by Friday. Checks, made payable to Lahoma, may be mailed to Lahoma, P.O. Box 2704, Stillwater, Okla., 74076.

New members and guests are always welcome to attend Lahoma Club meetings. For more information, contact Membership at 743-4120.

• TOPS OK013, Stillwater, had 13 TOPS, four KOPS and one new member at its meeting Thursday at Payne County Health Department.
