Local teenagers can test their video gaming skills against each other on Saturday at Stillwater Public Library, 1107 S. Duck.
The library will host a free program at 2 p.m. Saturday. It is open to students in sixth through 12th grades.
The Wii game units and games were purchased with money from the Friends of the Library, said teen librarians Recilla Harms and Carla Hickey.
While waiting for their turn at the video games, teens can play board games, enjoy refreshments or just watch the gaming fun.
“Playing video games on a large screen TV is exciting, but seeing them projected on a movie screen only adds to the fun for everyone,” Hickey said.
Because of the interest in this program, the library is requesting that those interested in attending the pre-register. Registration can be done either on the library’s web site, , in person at the Adult Help Desk or by phone at 372-3633.
“We would like to make this a monthly activity for our teens-just like our popular Anime Club,” Harms said.
