Art Guild to see oil portrait demonstration

Darren Maine will demonstrate oil portrait techniques to the Stillwater Art Guild Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Sheerar Center, Seventh and Duncan.
Maine graduated from Perry High School in 1990 and from a two-year program at the Art Institute of Dallas in 1992. His studies with Marty Avrett, professor of painting in the OSU art department, included landscape painting with him in Spannocchia, Italy.
He has more than 10 years of experience in design and fine arts. His resume includes graphic designer, freelance artist, art instructor and graphic design illustrator for Harold’s Stores Inc. He is creative director for Stan Clark Cos. in Stillwater and opened Maine Art Studio in 2007.
The meeting is open to the public.
First-time visitors to Stillwater Art Guild may attend free as the guest of a member. There is a $5 charge for other guests.
