Artists teach card-making workshop

Local artists Jenneffer Sixkiller and Assunta Martin will present a holiday card-making workshop at Stillwater Public Library on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 119.
Sixkiller, a Stillwater librarian and mixed-media artist, and Martin, a long-time card-maker and artist with pieces displayed at Multi Arts Center, will lead the workshop, while participants will make their own holiday cards.
Workshop participants will learn basic card-making skills like choosing themes and finding materials. They will also receive instructions about making card structures, guidelines concerning adhesion of materials and instructions about constructing envelopes.
Sixkiller and Martin will answer questions and to assist in techniques.
All materials will be provided by the library, but participants may bring any personal pictures or supplies they would like to use.
The workshop is free and open to the public and best suited for adults and older teens. No sign-up is necessary.
The workshop is presented by the Stillwater Public Library and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
