Melissa S. Williamson, Paola, a master’s student in music pedagogy and performance at Oklahoma State University, will present her graduate flute recital on Saturday.
She will perform at 2:30 p.m. in the Seretean Center Concert Hall. Dr. Samuel Magrill, University of Central Oklahoma professor, will accompany her on piano.
The recital will feature Fantasie No. 5 by George Philipp Telemann; Fantasie Op. 79 by Gabriel Faure; Fantasie on Themes from “Der Freischutz” by Paul Taffanel; Suite Paysanne Hongroise by Bela Bartok; Canzone by Samuel Barber; and Sonatina by Eldin Burton.
Williamson has held a graduate assistantship at OSU since 2006. She is a member of the OSU Symphony Orchestra and the University Wind Ensemble and has played with a variety of chamber ensembles.
