Multi Arts seeks youth entries

Payne County artists in grades eight through 12 are invited to submit artwork for the Celebrate Youth Art exhibit at City of Stillwater’s Parks, Events and Recreation Multi Arts Center.

This call for entries is an opportunity for youth to display their work in a setting they rarely have a chance to, said arts center director, Jessica Novak.

Work must be original, Novak said, and any medium will be accepted. All 2D work must be ready to hang. Work need not be framed, but it should look as professional as possible, backed or matted on foam core or still board.

To give as many students as possible the chance to exhibit their work, the piece may not exceed 3 feet in any direction. Each entry should be clearly marked with entrant’s name, address, phone number and the artwork’s title.

All entries are due at Multi Arts Center, 1001 S. Duck, by 5 p.m. on Feb. 29, Novak said. An opening reception is set for March 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
