• Flaming

Kenneth and Edith Flaming, Stillwater, will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a reception hosted by their children on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Stillwater Elks Lodge.

They were married April 11, 1948, in Fairview.

They have one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Anna Flaming, Stillwater. He is a sales rep for TaylorMade. They have one daughter and son-in-law, Kennie and Bob Smith, Tabernacle, N.J. Both work for NFL Films.

They have two grandchildren, Stephen Flaming II and his wife Rebekah, Pleasonton, Calif., and Kenneth, Kansas City, Kan.

The Flamings met in Stillwater upon his return from the service in 1946.

Flaming owned and operated Kenny’s IGA Foodliner in Stillwater from 1952 to 1963. He became vice president of Holiday Inn Corp. where he managed properties from Waterbury, Conn.; Rochester, N.Y.; Dayton, Ohio; Trenton, N.J.; Albuquerque, N.M.; Lagos, Nigeria; and Freeport, Grand Bahamas. Upon retiring from Holiday Inn, he became the director of state resorts for the State of Oklahoma. He retired in 1986.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Flaming managed Kenny’s IGA. From there she opened Edie’s Deli. She also worked at Oklahoma State University.

• Davidson

Dr. E.E. and Mary Davidson, Stillwater, will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a reception hosted by their children on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.

They were married April 11, 1948, in Oxford, Miss.

They have five daughters, Debbi Meyers, Vinita; Sandy Lewis, Tucson, Ariz.; Gail Hurd, Berthoud,, Colo.; Vicki Craven, Stillwater; and the late Brenda Jo Horton. They have 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Davidson retired as Oklahoma State University vice president for business and finance. He is an Evening Rotary member and a deacon at First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davidson is a retired Stillwater Realtor. She is past president of Lahoma Club, a member of First Baptist Church in Stillwater and a volunteer with Judith Karman Hospice.
