4-H, FFA members recognized

The Payne County Goat Producers held a special meeting April 17 to recognize winners at the recent Payne County Junior Livestock Show. The 4-H and FFA members that showed their market goats to Division Champion and Reserve Division Champion honors were presented custom made award jackets provided by the Payne County Goat Producers Association.

Division I Champion: Justin Ford, Ripley 4-H; Reserve Champion: Kaylee Graves, Ripley 4-H.

Division II Champion – Ashton Schaefer, Glencoe 4-H; Reserve Champion - Kelli Shenold – Ripley FFA.

Division III Champion – Brian Fitch – Stillwater 4-H; Reserve Champion Nick Shenold – Ripley 4-H.

Division IV Champion – Noah Teel, Glencoe 4-H; Reserve Champion – Joshua Teel, Glencoe FFA.

Overall Grand Champion Market Goat went to Brian Fitch – Stillwater 4-H; Overall Reserve Champion honors went to Ashton Schaefer – Glencoe 4-H.

The Payne County Goat Producers would like to congratulate all goat exhibitors at the Payne County Junior Livestock Show.

The association’s mission is to support the 4-H and FFA youth of Payne County and serve as a fund-raising organization in support of the goat shows held during the Payne County Free Fair and Junior Livestock Show. The Association’s next regular meeting will be June 3 at 7 p.m. at the Payne County Expo Center. Everyone interested in supporting the youth and goat industry is invited to attend.
